Eating for performance

Whenever anyone thinks of nutrition, I think the first thing they assume is weight loss.

But, good nutrition can do far more than that.

It can:
Improve our sleep
Improve our recovery
Give us more energy
Allow us to race better
Make our skin clearer

In short it allows our bodies to operate at a higher, healthier level.

In turn this will make us perform better and all told it will lead to us getting leaner.

However that may not necessarily be the aim.

Sometimes in fact I think it is better if it is NOT the aim.

In detracting our focus from weight loss to performance, we will often achieve more.

It is something I have been working with the members of The Total Triathlete on:

The Total Triathlete

Sure, I set calories for them.

I give advice on macro nutrient ratios.

I advice on how to recover better after races and how to fuel properly before.

I will even design a strength programme to compliment their tri training and nutrition plan.

And its working for people.

People who commit like Jo:

“Cant believe it, best I have felt in a race for a long time, plenty of energy, no issues with dropping pace in the 4th mile and the strongest I have ever felt on the hills. Thank you for your help and advice with both the nutrition and S&C routine”

If you need some help, its £10 a month (roughly 12 USD).
