Micro or Macro?

Go back 3/4 years and not many people would have known what macronutrient ratio meant.

But in the world of information overload and free education, pretty much everyone knows about Protein, Carbs, and Fats.

They also know that there is meant to be an optimal amount for us to eat.

Do you know yours?

We do though hear far less about micronutrient consumption.

Funnily the number of micronutrients consumed if probably far more relevant to most people than the magic ratio of your macros.

Why?

These micronutrients affect our health far more.

And whether you like it or not, optimising your health is the key to optimising your performance and body composition.

Basically what I am referring to here is eating your greens!!

Vegetables and fruits are the richest source of micronutrients we can get as are good quality cuts of meat and fish.

Get this right and you needn’t worry about your macronutrients too much.

“But I don’t like veggies!!”

I don’t like running up a bloody hill 5 times in order to get faster but I do it!!

Making your veggies tasty is the key to this and finding ways to add them to awesome tasting food!
