Don’t leave it until its too late

imgres-1I don’t like the dentist so I don’t go.

Simple.

Anyway I went the other week after my wife told me I was setting a bad example to the kids.

Turns out everything is ok apart from a massive build up of plaque so I was booked into the hygienist.

OMG – as the kids say.

It was horrific, painful and I was slightly ashamed.

When she was finished I looked up and the piece of paper she had put on my chest was scattered with blood and plaque – I know its disgusting.

It reminded me of tow things:

1) Training

2) Nutrition

My experience with the hygienist is similar to that people experience when they first start back after a long lay off – horrific!

The difference is that it doesn’t have to be this way.

The first session back should be easy, not hard.

It should leave you wanting more, not dreading the next time.

The same goes for diet.

When people decide to lose weight they basically starve themselves.

Both of these examples will leave you NOT wanting more and the truth is that both are meant to make you feel better, not worse.

So, ask yourself this question:

Is you diet and or training making you feel better and perform at a higher level?

If the answer is NO – you know you are doing something wrong.
