The biggest mistake I ever made

UnknownIt truly was a massive **** up!

You see, I got taken in………

I believed the hype.

I believed that what people told me was true.

That I could transform my body in 6 weeks.

But what happened after those 6 weeks?

I can tell you:

I certainly didn’t look like that six pack ridden, fake tanned, figure of male perfection.

I looked very significantly different.

I felt different as well and that all led to one significant feeling of disappointment.

I had not achieved what had been promised and what I had hoped for.

Which takes me to my lesson for this week:

Our expectations are what determine our perception of success.

If we are promised little and achieve it, or more we are happy.

The problem with the nutrition and fitness industry is that the complete opposite is true.

We are promised the world and actually get only reasonable results.

Why is this industry that way?

Because people only buy things if they get really excited about it. The marketing experts convince you its worth the money because the results are going to be so good!

Very often they just are NOT.

Supplements are the worst.

Pictures of human perfection on the packet with big promises.

What if it was the other way round?

A picture of a person like you, like me, a normal person.

Would it make you want to buy it?

Probably not.

But you and me are that normal person.

We are not perfect.

We are imperfect.

We have a problem and it needs fixing.

Thats why I wrote my book:

“Triathlete Nutrition Code – How to set up your perfect diet plan”

Its coming out after Christmas and it is low on hype.

There are no big promises, just real practical information on how you can change your nutrition for the better for good.

How you can fix your habits and your body for good.

Not by magic though, by understanding and implementation.

It helps that all the recipes are incredibly tasty as well.

I’ll keep you posted.

In the mean time remember this:

Whilst you want to enjoy the festive period, it was never designed to last 4 weeks. It was not meant to be party after party.

It was meant to be a couple of days of excess and those couple of days will do you little harm.

4 weeks on the other hand………
