Beware

UnknownDecember is a slow month for many businesses and the weight loss game is no different.

January, however………

Well, any gym member will know how frustrating it can be going to the gym then.

Waiting to get on machines occupied by people who are going to make this year the one!

Now, don’t get me wrong, that is a good thing and many weight loss success stories begin in the new year – perhaps you could be one of the next.

One issue I do have with the new year though, is that it is a time when we are all heavily marketed to by weight loss companies.

Some of those products and services will be legitimate.

Others. well they won’t!

You will see adverts designed to make you feel bad about your body and performance, usually with pictures of models 20 years younger and photoshopped.

These adverts though are powerful and can make us buy.

Like many, I’ve been victim of these scams.

I have in the past bought fat burners.

I’ve bought one of those belts that send electric shocks to your abs.

I’ve bought slim fast!

None worked for me because they are flawed in so many ways.

They are just marketing and have no substance.

This is against my morals and style.

It’s why I don’t share before and after pictures of clients.

It is so misleading.

I made this video a while ago which sums up my thoughts:
