Lets get back to it

UnknownHappy New Year everyone and I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.

Well maybe not to Merry because that usually means one thing:

A Fat Christmas.

Personally I had fun, drank more than usual and ate more than usual but my weight only increased by 0.5 kg which I expect will be gone by next week.

To me that is a success and is as a result of deploying all the strategies I talked you though before Christmas – I certainly didn’t feel like I missed out.

Chances are that out of the 14,500 triathletes reading this, a good percentage are wanting to clean your act up and lose some fat.

To be fair this is an easy way to make sure you go faster in your main event this year but also
You will improve your health
You will look better
And most importantly you will feel better.
The last one is really what all this is about and is something that we realise more and more as we get older.

I’ll be 40 this year and I am increasingly becoming less and less bothered what other people think.

What matters to me above all else, is that I can lead a healthy, happy and fulfilling life.

For me and you that means taking part in sport but it is not the be all and end all.

Truth is that it can’t be unless you are a pro.

So many get into triathlon to improve their health.

How many of you have heard:

“Is this a mid life crisis?”

Well if it is, there are many worse ones you could have.

As we reach mid life, we increasingly become aware of our mortality, hence the motivation to exercise, we know its good for us.

But what else is good for us?

Perhaps the most important thing other than our genes, is what goes into our bodies.

We all know the bad things:

Smoking/alcohol etc.

But what about the good?

Do you know which good things to put into your body to make you a faster, leaner, healthier athlete?

If you do, you don’t need to read on.

If you need some guidance then lets not pussy foot around…..

Your likely motivated now, so now is the time to act, not next week or next month, or next January.
