The fat loss secret

imageI am going to be brutally honest here.

So honest in fact that most of you are going to NOT like me.

That might not make much business sense for me but really I am in the business of helping people so if I don’t tell you the truth, I am not really doing my job.

The most important thing in getting lean is NOT:

Training
Nutrition
Knowledge

The most important thing you need to do in the battle for leanness is to develop a feeling of absolute dissatisfaction.

A feeling that you are better than you are.

A feeling that hurts.

It hurts every time you look at yourself in the mirror.

It hurts to think that you are NOT achieving your goals

If were honest we’ve all felt this pain at times, otherwise you wouldn’t be signed up to this email, you wouldn’t be one of over 6000 triathletes who read it each week.

You want help.

You are not happy with what you’ve got.

How do I know?

I’ve walked that walk all my life.

I know how it feels to be self conscious, to be not happy with how you look and not happy with how you feel and perform.

To feel embarrassed wearing lycra.

I made mistake after mistake but I kept going and eventually I got there – thats not to say its over – It’s not.

Do I feel the same pain now which motivated me then?

Not with my body or performance.

I do though feel that pain in other areas of my life and it lights a fire inside me.

It means I try and do something every day to try and get myself a little bit closer to my goals.

Those goals are between me and my mind but they are BIG.

Perhaps too big.

But that feeling of trying to achieve something really worth having, that fear of maybe not having it, is what gets me up every morning.

You’ve got it too.

Perhaps you’re a success in other areas of your life but you just can’t get this under control.

Feel that pain and you can.

But – Really FEEL it, so that it makes you feel a bit sick.

If you’ve got that, then you will nail it whatever your goal.
