Shortcut to faster triathlon.

Unknown-3Triathletes are always looking for an edge, the latest gadget or technology that can make them faster for less effort.

That makes sense completely – the only issue can be that sometimes this can cost financially.

We all know how big an investment a new bike can be, even a Garmin isn’t cheap.

Do all these gadgets and extra technology really make us that much faster though?

I look at it a little bit like the technology can be the icing on the cake – a marginal gain.

There is no point though having icing, if you have no cake.

There are so many examples of people who go for the icing option, often because they see it an an easy win.

Maybe a way of going faster without anymore training.

We all know there is a ceiling on just how much training we can do – after all, unless you are a pro athlete this is unlikely your absolute priority.

There is work and of course family and friends who all need a slice of your time.

This becomes even more of an issue as we age – we seem to acquire more financial wealth and less time and as we all know:

“Money can’t buy us time.”

So just how do you make sure your a “CAKE person” and not just an “ICING guy/gal”?

Focus the majority of your free time on the big wins, like:

  • Quality training
  • Quality recovery
  • Quality nutrition.

Note how none of the above mentions MORE.

It’s about improving all of what were doing already and just trying to make it better.

With regards training, this might mean sticking to the heart rate zones prescribed by your plan or coach.

Recovery wise, this means eating at the right times, making time to rest and ensuring good quality sleep.

With regards your nutrition…………….

Well, for me thats the easiest win.

We all like to eat, its a pleasure for most of us.

The problem is that so many of us think that eating “healthily” means boring, maybe even bland.

That is NOT true.

But only if you have the tools and know how to eat well and tasty.

Thats what I wrote my book “The Triathlete Nutrition Code”

http://www.nutri-tri.com/e-books/

It is full of healthy and perhaps more importantly tasty, enjoyable to eat meals, snacks, recovery shakes etc etc.

It tells you how to eat for your body type and how to get away with eating the absolute most you can whilst still improving your body composition – something which should be everyones aim.

After all why would anyone want to starve to get leaner?

You don’t need to.

It’s £9.99 or $14 ish.

Stop procrastinating and go and get it now and start the week off on the right foot:
