Need more time to train?

Unknown-1Don’t we all……

Like most amateurs I guess I’ve gone through periods of thinking:

“How much better could I be if I didn’t have to work”

Or

“I need to come up with a way of making money without a job, so I can train more”

That second point is actually one of the reasons I got in to this game, if I am honest.

The fact is that our time is precious and we need to balance so much.

The analogy of juggling many balls is never truer of Triathletes.

Getting up early for a pool session, then taking the kids to school.

Nipping off at lunchtime to the gym, or for a run.

All in the pursuit of getting that little bit faster.

Whilst the pressure of the “A” race may be off at the moment, those of us who have done this for a while know, that it is in the winter where the hard work is done.

Where we make or break next season.

There are nearly 13,000 triathletes reading this and my guess is that many of you have BIG aspirations for next year.

Maybe born out of this years disappointment.

Or…..

Maybe this is your first year and you don’t want to finish last!

Either way, now is the time to act.

To get a decent plan, maybe even a coach.

To look at new kit – We all want a new bike don’t we?

If only they weren’t in the thousands.

The fact is, that whilst time may be an obstacle, we can be more sensible with it.

One way is with your nutrition.

Lose some fat and go faster – simple as that.

Faster for no more training and faster without spending thousands on a bike.

So why haven’t you sorted it yet?

Sorry to be blunt but there are so many triathletes who if they lost a few pounds, would go so much faster without having to cram in more training.

Without having to make more excuses to the other half, about why they can’t do………

“Sorry, I’ve got to train”

“WHAT, AGAIN!”

So lets get this sorted.
