I haven’t got the time

Unknown-2How many times have you heard that?

It’s one of the best excuses known to man, especially when people are trying to get out of doing any meaningful training.

“I don’t know how you fit it all in”

If only I had a penny for every time I’d heard that……….

Time is also a great excuse for not eating well.

It is essentially one of the main reasons I believe the world is getting fatter.

We are all more inclined to pick something up which is made for us, than make it ourselves.

“I’m too busy”

Not too busy to look at fit people on Facebook or Instagram though!

Wishing we looked like them!

Harsh but true, in a lot of cases.

I think for a lot of us, if we put the focus more on ourselves that on others, we could create some time.

I know it’s not easy with kids etc but comparing ourselves to other fitter, leaner people is not healthy and a waste of time.

Time that could be spent doing something positive for us.

Something like preparing food for tomorrow, instead of buying it on the go.

There are certain time saving techniques which you can use to help.

My favourite being:

When you cook dinner, simply make double and have the other portion for tomorrows lunch.

Then it’s just about having healthy snacks on hand, so you are not tempted by the crap in the local shop.

I always used to buy my lunch from the shop and apart from being unhealthy, it is expensive – I would often spend about £7 a day.

What a waste and it was making me fatter!

If you stopped spending money on your lunch next week, I bet you could save £20. Granted you need to buy more in the supermarket but that works out much cheaper.

Economies of scale anyone?

Because I’ve just saved you money, it would be also worth getting a copy of my E-Book – The Triathlete Nutrition Code:
